Of Counsel
Linda is an experienced corporate attorney with over 20 years of combined in-house GC and outside counsel, serving as GC at consumer branded products, tech and media companies as well as with a national law firm. Her experience spans the legal and operational aspects of business and commercial transactions as well as advising clients on
various legal and business matters.
Linda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from University of Wisconsin – Madison. She graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University School of Law in 1996. After law school, Linda joined Quarles & Brady, LLP, where she started as a litigation associate before transferring to the Corporate Group. Linda focused on mergers & acquisitions and other complex transactions for private and publicly traded companies, with strong industry experience in consumer products, retail, manufacturing and service businesses.
Linda subsequently served as GC for Cygne Designs, Inc. (f/k/a Diversified Apparel Resources), an apparel company. She assisted with taking the company public and servicing compliance matters. She next served as GC working for companies with brands as Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier where she was responsible for handling and advising on all legal matters affecting the brands as well as overseeing key operational areas, including wholesale, retail stores, IP, HR and licensing. Linda then joined Playboy Enterprises, Inc. as Associate General Counsel – Licensing Business Affairs.
She negotiated and drafted licensing and joint venture partnership transactions, including consumer products, retail, gaming, and land-based entertainment establishments around the world.
Linda subsequently became GC of Loot Crate, Inc., a start-up tech, media and consumer products subscription-based company. She advised the Board and management, developing strategies, overseeing advertising and media production, negotiating and drafting key corporate documents, assuring legal compliance, and handling licensing, acquisitions, trademarks and copyrights, real estate, HR, retail, litigation, and other corporate matters. Linda then served as GC and Corporate Secretary for Ignite International, Inc., a global public company, which produced and sold primarily cannabis products at the time she joined the company and later expanded into beverage products. She was responsible for all regulatory compliance, corporate governance and HR matters, handling a wide array of joint ventures and licensing and other complex corporate transactions.
Linda currently serves as a consultant to a wide array of companies in the tech, consumer products, service and entertainment industries. Her responsibilities include overseeing all legal matters, including managing compliance and risk management functions, as well as advising on major contracts and transactions, litigation and outside counsel management.
She is admitted to practice law in California.
